LUMÉA is a Valais company based in Sierre. We sell illuminated aluminium skirting boards in French-speaking and German-speaking Switzerland.
We sell one kind of product only: aluminium skirting boards that hold an LED strip and cast the light towards the floor or towards the wall. Nine profiles, 50 to 80 millimetres high, in ten finishes.
We do not make these profiles ourselves. They are produced by a specialist manufacturer, then cut to your measurements and delivered in Switzerland. We would rather say so plainly than let anyone believe in local production.
A finish cannot be judged on a screen. The same brushed black does not have the same grain under a warm lamp as it does in daylight, and no photograph renders that honestly.
So we send you a ten-centimetre sample of the exact profile you have in mind, in the finish you are considering. It costs 9 francs, plus 5 francs postage, and that amount is deducted from your first order. You judge the piece at home, against your own wall, in your own light.
A real address in Valais, one you can write to and hold to account. A personal reply to every enquiry — for now it is one person reading them, not a department.
A clear quotation before any commitment: the metres, the cuts, the transformer required, the delivery time. No automatic basket that lets you order the wrong length.
We are starting out. We have no showroom, no portfolio of completed projects, no years behind us to point to. If you are looking for a supplier established for twenty years, we are not it, and it is better to know that now.
What a young company does do is answer quickly, discuss particular cases and not send you back to a form. That is what we have to offer today.
